In Her Time Primed and Ready
The final Group 1 race of the 2016/17 season runs tomorrow at Doomben with the Tattersall’s Tiara and In Her Time is the clear favourite following her second in the Stradbroke Handicap.
In the last three editions of this race, the favourite has saluted twice so In Her Time is looking a favourite choice with the punters. If she does win, it will be her maiden win at Group 1 level.

She had a huge run in the Stradbroke Handicap, and this has always looked like her sort of race, and she is expected to dominate. Even though she has a wide barrier, it will suit as she will be able to cross and take up a choice position where she will be too strong for the rest of the field.
Ben Smith, her trainer from Newcastle is eager to get the whole race over and done with saying, “You’d like to admit it doesn’t get to you, but it does play on your mind a bit,” Smith said.
He does think that In Her Time is looking fit and ready to break her maiden though, believing the Stradbroke was an excellent lead-up to the Tatts.
“The thing that gives me the most confidence is how well she’s come through the run. She’s put on weight, she’s eating better and she looks stronger,” said Smith.
In Her Time has been consistent throughout her Autumn and Winter campaign and if she runs anywhere near how she did in the Stradbroke, there is no other horse that can catch her.
